I have been attempting to fire up DCTelnet (G5 on 3.19). I have tried a manual install of V1.5 and V1.7 and get the same results. The full screen opens fine and looks great but the system is locked up. I noticed the Caps Lock key doesn't light up when pressed. I have tried a few different screen resolutions (640x256 640x480 800x600) but with the same result. I can't exit out of the screen to debug. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Useing V1.7 without any problems - in full screen (1680x1050) as well as on Ambient in windowed mode.
You should test it on a plain installation (boot from MOS-CD).
My system: MorphOS 3.19, PowerMAC G5

I suppose I need to redirect this to more of a general query about methods to recover/debug a frozen system. I know DCTelnet can be configured to run in a workbench window after a successful start. I thought about stealing a config file from the program running under UAE and tossing it into the drawer but I need to learn a proper solution to debug this situation. With CMD+M failing (all user inputs appear to be dead) in this case, what other ways can I start a defective full screen program and debug the problem? Just looking for any tips you guys might have.

DC Telnet works fine in 16 bit and 24 bit modes. I was trying to use the "prettier" 8 bit color graphics that are seen in UAE emulation.

Do these 8bit modes work ok when you test them on MorphOS Preferences -> Monitors?
