I am looking for a program which I can use to cut a piece off a song or recorded sound and the beable to hotglue this into one song.
As I never done this before I think I better ask what progam to use?
Don't care if I will have too pay for it but it should come with a nice manual.
Will have to run on a powerbook 1,5 Ghz.

Usually you would use a sequencer for this, but they are big beasts and sometimes not easy to use.
    https://www.morphos-storage.net/?page=Audio/Sequencer

but also have a look into the Audio/mix and Audio/editor depts over there.

Can't really recommend anything cause i am not into audio.

    HDRec !

A wonderful and powerful software for editing musics and sounds. I use it to make the french podcast of AmigaImpact.org (fully make on MorphOS !) ^^

SoundFX, which is m68k but runs nicely.

Maybe Soundbankster (a DJ software) is along the lines of what you want to do?
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

Not Soindbankster, it's used for mixing of two songs not for cut and paste audio sequences. Hdrec and Soundfx as others suggested will do the trick :)

You could also try SampleManager, its 68k but you have cut/copy/paste feature.
I use it regulary to cut parts from music of youtube videos.

So I got Soundfx running and already find out how to cut paste pieces of samples together.
Great but somehow it doesn like mp3 it crashes after loading sometimes, mostly.
Changed to .wav no problems there so that is ok.
But I want to register so I can save my work, link on sonicpulse.de doesn´t work.
Somebody got a idea how to contact author Stefan Kost?

    Hi,

which version do you use of HD Rec which works on MorphOS?
Do you eventually have a link where I could download it and test?

    Best regards

So I am using soundfx the version from the amigafuture website.
Runs great and I manage to glue together a few recorded sounds into one long sample.
But can I join recorded sounds onto the sample?
For example I want to hear the sound off a starting steamengine while there is a song playing in the background.
This gives some more effect to my final sample off course.

First let me say I know nothing about tracker or mod software, or really about any music mixing software at all, so I am guessing with this comment. My guess is that some of these music editing software programs have layers, or perhaps in the music world, they are called "tracks", which overlap each other and are played simultaneously, so if you want to play the sound of a steam engine with music playing in the background, isn't it as easy as having the music play from one layer or track, and the steam engine playing from another layer or track? I also guess that multiple tracks or layers can be recorded as one new layer or track, and then added to other layers or tracks, in a new editing instance, but then you can not separate out any particular layer or track, to adjust what you are working on. Seems to me that even very old Amiga software could handle at least 4 tracks, and some, like "Sound Studio" or Bars & Pipes I think could handle up to 16 tracks (probably needed a dedicated Zorro sound card).

I'll stop guessing, and let the real sound/music experts answer your questions now.
