Newbie to blender, just messing around with it. I downloaded the "ATV Buggy" from https://www.blender.org/download/demo-files/ at the bottom of the page. Regular render using Blender engine, it looks ok. If I click on Cycles render I see my G5 peg to 100% but I dont know if any rendering is actually going on. Left it running overnight, still cannot tell if its actually working.


Also, when going to the File menu and looking at preferences, its all garbled up. Cannot read any text on that window that pops up.
