TrueReality won't run on recent MorphOS versions, so i wanted to ask if someone's willing to make a recent port of it. The source code is available here:

    http://www.amidog.com/amiga/truereality/download.html

a r300/tinygl support would be very appreciated!

or maybe someone want to port this to morphos:

    http://www.pj64-emu.com/downloads/project64/source-code/

btw, truereality works on recent morphos, but due to rave3d lack on r300 it wont work. wazp3d just creates trash on the screen.

Project64 is a windows-only emulator, not the best candidate. There is a Mupen64 port for xbox360, that one has a PPC dynarec too, so it should be pretty fast.
This is just like television, only you can see much further.

ok, so we just need someone who is motivated enough to port this :)

    maybe a bounty candidate? :)

i think this point should be clear and obvious by now. i did that with this thread and i think BZsili would've made a statement about his interest and motivation.

But maybe it's also of interest what other users think. if i'm the only one who's interested in this than i think this whole thing is pretty pointless. so maybe you wanna express your feelings and ideas about an uptodate N64 emulator for MorphOS too?

Oh, I didn't know I had to make an official statement on the matter :D I once started porting Mupen64Plus, but fixing the Glide64 plugin turned out to be too much hassle, and the other one was too slow, so I lost interest. Mupen64-360 could solve this, since it's already PPC ready, but I'm not sure if the dynarec would work out of the box on MorphOS. It's not that I'm not interested, but not knowing any PPC assembly, I might not be the right person to do the job.

BTW, why don't you ask Alain Thellier about the Wazp3D problem with TrueReality?

    @BZsili

    thanks for your info! :-)

afair Wazp3D is pretty buggy. Even Wipeout is running pretty bad. TrueReality on the other side lacks a lot of features, starting with analog stick support. Compatibility is pretty poor too.

Seems like the heavier emulators like TrueReality or FPSE are pretty limited, especially when it comes to compatibility. I'll never be able to play FIFA99 or NBA Live 2000 on my MorphOS machine :D

I tried to run Heretic II on my Powerbook, but all i get is a Log Server output with "Illegal Instruction". The screen stays grey and in the log i got a lot of hits.

So how did you make it work in the Powerbook? I have the most recent wazp3D installed.

Did you play around with the dynarec, if it works out of the box on MorphOS?

Do you know any coder who is familiar with PPC assembly who could work on that?

I also wrote in the very same post that I lost interest. There are plenty of talented developers here, so if someone was be intereted I'm pretty sure they'd have made themselves heard.
