Hi,

I'm trying to start Kryptos but double clicking its icon does nothing.

Running it from the shell I get the following:

System:Applications/Kryptos> Kryptos
failed to open core system libraries


I'm running MorphOS 3.7, is something else needed?

Have you installed any 3rd party patches (such as Pack Chrysalis)?

You could use Snoopium to see which files (and from where) it tries and fails to open.

If everything else fails, you can always reinstall the OS (without format), that way there will be a backup of your previous MOSSYS:

no, I have not installed Pack Chrysalis. But maybe I broke something when messing some months ago with SimpleMail and SSL.

It is working now. Updating with 3.7 CD fixed it.

yeah, definitely a messed up install when you cannot even run Kryptos.

Everyone should remember that you shouldn't touch anything in SYS:MorphOS/ and you'll be fine then. There's no need to modify anything there. Except renaming the rexxsyslib.library as a obligatory exception...
