Order of the Butterfly

I setup google as homepage with owb.
But I always have to click onto the google cursorfield to get it active for typing.
Is there a setting/way to get it active as soon as you startup/select it as homepage?
Powerbook 5,4 1.5GHz 1.5GB ram
