I am using a Powerbook with mos 3.2. There is no drop down to select HiFi like I used to be able to when I ran os 3.1.
There is a settings->system->Sound
but no Audio icon in the control panel.
There is no drop down in the sound settings beyond the normal default menu items when right clicking.
Hi Bash64,
'Sound' is in the top row of preferences (under the User Interface subheading) and allows you to set system sounds, etc
'Audio' is in the bottom row (under the 'Hardware' subheading) and allows you to configure the audio hardware.
If it isn't there, something is very wrong.
