As some already know, I've been looking for ways to force full screen games into window mode on my Powerbook.

I got a tip, a program called ModePro that's supposed to do this. It's written for classic hardware though.

However, I havn't been able to get it to work. I suspect that I miss a library (asl.library). But I would like to see if anyone else can get this program to work as it's supposed.

asl.library is part of MorphOS and ModePro works fine on it for me...

But ModePro can't force programs to run in a Window instead of a custom screen.
This would require specific code into your games.

It is? I couldn't find it in libs:

I see. Too bad, I thought I had something there.

Can I use it for anything? When I try the different modes nothing happens.

It resides in MOSSYS:Libs and 'version full' should output "asl.library 51.0 (23.05.13) © 2012 Stefan Stuntz, PPC, MorphOS, DEBUG".

I see. I will look into that. But then I can atleast assume that it does exist. So my other question is still in the open.

If a game was written for a fixed resolution, promoting won't help you.

I don't think this can solve anything, but I just noticed this video of Dragon (which simulates draggable screens) and if you whatch at 1:51 and forward it seems like the screen has been treated as a window.
Could this be applied somehow ?
