    Hello,

    i am currnetly configuring my Power Mac G5.
    For the System and Work parition i am using SFS.
    But the Data parition is formatted with IceFs, because it supports files bigger than 4 Gb
    and the parition can be more than 128 Gb in size.

    What' the future of IceFs?
    Will Leif or somebody else work on it or is it abandonware?
    regards

    I do believe it has never been abandoned and is till receiving updates on a regular basis.
    Being a 64bit file system with virtually no limits I am not sure what the concern is about getting support. Its like saying ntfs will get no more support. Who would care. Its pretty much maxed out.

    Latest update was 1.5 years ago:

    But it does, for MorphOS:

    To be fair, the Mac version is in dire need of updates considering how many issues it has had. I am certain IceFS is a lot more stable.

    Last time i checked, Leif was part of the MorphOS-Team. So i don't see any reason for concerns here.

    @eliot

    IceFS V2.x is pretty much at the end of line.
    There might be some bugfix release if needed.

    I mention V2.x specifically as I have been doing some work on V3,
    but dont hold your breath for it. Just enjoy V2 for what it is.
