has anyone managed to print something with pagestream 4.1 and mos 1.4??
i can get wordworth and turboprints graphicpublisher to print, but pagestream refuses.
any other impressions or hints here?

(i use an epson stylus photo 750 via usbparallel.device)

I don't have a copy of PageStream myself but, as far as I can
remember, there is a system printer driver and drivers for several
printers that access the par port directly.
Since you have an usb printer, it might not be possible to use the par
drivers for it, but if you have an old par printer, you could check
wether it works with system and/or parallel drivers.
If one works, it is not the main app's fault, and a patch for the
system printer shouldn't be hard to do. Maybe you could contact the
programmers directly. I'm sure they'll help you if you sign a contract
saying that you'll buy the next version ;)

To add, my copy of Art Effect avoids any printing by crashing first
:(

I have seen posts from people that it is possible.

....one way would be to install Ghotscript correctly and print to PS: device.

(Ghostscript was delivered with Turboprint for this very purpose and is in fact open source...)

I will try to print and report back later when I get home..since I have Pagestream 4.1

Okay.

1. No luck at all printing to a Preferences Printer..the printer is
detected and settings OK but I get sheets ejected and no output.

2. Installing Ghostscript (5.1 available from Ireesoft homepage) or
6.5 I got from somewhere allows you to print directly to the PS:
device like the original Turboprint did (obviously with the PS device
mount in Devs: and gs-handler in L:)

Does it print correctly? Well I had some mixed experiments with
Text...but this could be the limitations of GS for all I know...since
I never tried it on AmigaOS

My printer....EpsonStylus860 on usbparallel.device.

thanks for your reply. i used ghostscript for printing with pagestream on amiga, too. it worked perfectly, but slowly :( no problems with text whatsoever.

an inital attempt on mos1.4 failed here. i will try harder, though. . .
