I had issue that default font didn't give anything, but when I changed to other fonts from the menus, they did work.

Actually I just checked it and it has some default font which I don't have (or I have some assign or other problem). If I open font selection window and click "Show Sample" it doesn't show anything on it with default font. If I select some other font from the list, it shows sample just fine.... buut then for some reason some of them actually work when trying to write into text box, but some others don't... hmm..
