So, you have an external USB audio device, and you don't want to use the internal audio output (3.5mm jack) for some reason?
If you have ever configured AHI on Amiga, it's the same on MorphOS. Preferences/Audio is practically the AHI prefs.
You'll have to configure both "Music Unit" and "Unit 0" for this external audio device, because some programs use the Music Unit and some programs use the Unit 0. In some cases you can configure which one will be used, but sometimes not, so better configure both.
When you open the prefs, you can configure the Music Unit first as it is opened by default. There are two options, either select your audio output device directly there, or select "Unit 0: HiFi 16 bit stereo++", which will just use Unit 0 when something is trying to use the Music Unit (this also allows both units to be played simultaneously).
Then click the popup button next to where it reads Music Unit, and select Unit 0. Then select an output device that matches your hardware. If there are several options, you can select the one that looks like the highest quality (HiFi stereo++ etc.).
Basically it should work like that on supported audio devices. You can finetune some details if wanted.. like frequency or amount of channels (less channels is supposed to do a bit better quality, if that can be heard in practise... channels affect how many programs can output audio simultaneously).
