I have downloaded the MorphOS 3.10 CD image and copied it to a FAT32 formatted USB stick in Mac OS.

Per the instructions I also copied the Boot.img file from the PPC32 directory as I am trying to install MorphOS on an iBook G4.

The install proceeds after typing in the correct command, "boot ud:,\boot.img bi umsd0:morphos.iso” in OpenFirmware but hangs after the “DO-Quiesce finished” message. I hear the hard drive and/or fan run briefly.

I have tried 2x with two different USB sticks - same result.

The internal hard drive in the Powerbook has two partitions - - not sure if that makes a difference.

Computer Specs:

Machine Model: Power Book6,7
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (1.5)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.33ghz

Why not 3.19?

Are you sure you really copied the ISO image itself and not just its contents?

Apologies. It is indeed 3.19. That was a typo.

I resolved this. In my multiple attempts my last usb format was in Mac OS Extended NOT FAT32.
