I figured out how to override the default devaliases in open firmware, so now hd really points to the hd and cd really points to the cd. One minor peculiarity still remains, however... Even though the eject cd command now works properly within open firmware, the mouse button shortcut on startup still doesn't do anything. A minor inconvenience, I know, but can anyone shed some insight into whether I could possibly restore this functionality? Could it have something to do with the fact that the devalias for ide1 won't change to the default path for ide0 when I try to set that?
