    hi,

I would like to "get rid" of some icons on my Ambient-desktop:

    "boot - hdd"
    "My Morphos"

How can I safely do this? Is there a way to just hide them?

    Cheers!

For the "my morphos" icon: Uncheck "display my morphos icon" in ambient/miscellaneous settings

For the boot disk, i believe you can right click on it , and select put away.

If you mean the Boot partition which contains boot.img etc, it doesn't need to be mounted at all in the normal use. If you dare to edit HD settings, you can disable the "Automatically mount partition" option from it with the HDConfig tool. Open firmware can load files from the partition without it being mounted in MorphOS, and MorphOS installer/updater mounts it automatically, so it doesn't affect to future updates either.

ok, great! this worked out good so far.
    and yes, "boot-hdd" was the 128MB start-partition ;)

Now, another question regarding Desktop icons, is there a way to disable the gauge?
I mean the bar that indicates how much space is left/taken on a drive or Rma, etc?

In ambient settings/icon display change Drive info to text.
