Watch out for lowtech2's postings. He explains what he did afterwards installing Ubuntu MATE. IMHO this should work for Debian too.
MorphOS is definitely A LOT snappier and is able to play youtube and 720p videos reasonably! But on the Linux side I get LibreOffice, Firefox and mail clients which can handle GnuGPG 2.0.x.
