AFAIK, there are no PCI or AGP cards with "MacPro bios", so that BIOS type should only be relevant for PCIe cards.

    Helpful discussion.
I will get the MacPro X1900XT and try it unmodified with the original NVIDIA card in place. Then I’ll flash a G5 bios and try it alone and with NVIDIA card. Finally I’ll see if it will take a PC bios.
    Will keep the thread updated.

Keep in mind to put the Radeon card in the primary slot, else it won't work for that reason alone.

Hi all, finally got a PC x86 X1950pro card in the G5.
There is some progress in that I get a video signal to the screen booting from livecd 3.19.

Sadly that video signal is a black screen from left most dvi port and the Morphos logo loading screen on the right dvi port. It seems to hang on that screen?

Is there anything I should/can try now? I did try holding ctrl on boot to force a 1024x768 resolution, but that did nothing.

After some tweaking, I now get past the loading screen to a fullscreen cli window listed in RAMdisk. When minimised there is an empty Ambient screen. Keyboard and mouse input works.

With more tweaking and swapping in a new optical drive, MorphOS is now installed. Nice.👌

Thanks under macOS I have WiFi and Bluetooth.
As to which card this is, I’d need to go check. I am also a Mac beginner.

If you have a working WiFi and Bluetooth under OSX then consider yourself very lucky. Most probably you've got the extremely rare Runway card and A1127 installed on top of that.

In that case, WiFi should work under MorphOS. Bluetooth will not (although the already paired devices like mouse and keyboard should work still).

I consider myself very lucky, my WiFi connected out of the box.
Now to start tinkering with MOS.
