I have a Powerbook5.5 with an installed and working 3.13.
But I would like to upgrade to 3.14, but booting from the 3.14 cd does not recognize the Powerbook harddrive within the MOS installer (or HDinstall, or unitcontrol). Does anyone have a clue ?

Still the original drive from 2004 or something you upgraded to recently?

Had old drives fail to the point where they would still boot&work but fail to register when trying to partition.
If you still have a 3.13 CD at hand you might want to try if that show the same issue.

Do not use ":" at bootdevicename. Boot.img has to be on 1st partition of HD (HFS-Filesystem)
