Powermac G4 Quicksilver won't boot installer

    I've been looking to install morphos on my powermac quicksilver but when I try booting the installer from any sort of media I get an error of some sort. When I try booting from a CD I get a white screen. When booting from USB I get the same thing, when booting from USB via openfirmware, I either get an error message or a white screen with a circle and cross in the middle. Am I doing anything wrong or would there be any alternative instructions?

    Powermac g4 Quicksilver 2002 dual 1ghz, 1gb of RAM, ATI Radeon 9000 pro gpu with 64mb of vram

    Is this a known good system that will run OSX and/or Linux?

    For OSX yes, it is a native OS X machine that can run up to 10.5.8. For Linux, eh.. Yes and no. Some distros do work such as Ubuntu 14.04, MintPPC, and Debian. However others such as Yellow Dog, Fedora, and Ubuntu 12.04 give me the same white screen if I boot. However I can still manage to boot some of the installer images if I boot via open firmware.

    I had this exact system.
    I cannot see any reason why you would have an issue.
