Isn't this of the "unofficial/unauthorized" branch? (seeing there's no MOS native version available)

At least I'd avoid it at all costs.

What are the key features that will make a MOS user to use the latest 68k version instead of the older, built-in one?

Well, i m just guessing but as MOS CVS seems to have 64bit support(dos.library),
i guess there also will be a 64bit MOS Filesystem(SFS?) with MOS 2.0 system.
You would have to switch to it anyway, if you want to use it then, when MOS 2.0 appears.

Mixing all this stuff wouldnt be a good idea

I think some people would argue that the MorphOS one the *only* official one? SFS was donated to Ralph Schmidt AFAIK. At some point he decided to let some coder get access to the sources in order to do a 68k port of the current version, but he took the sources and made an OS4 version and started his own branch of development. That is at least how I remember what was said about it...
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

I have several usb devices which I formatted with sfs.
I took latest sfs from aminet (not newset now).
How can I select smartfilesystem(morphos internal) (now 68k version) for these devices?.
    Or is this not possible?
If I select information on my 68k formatted usb devices it states SFS0 while my normal harddrive is seen as SFS.
I looked into the cdrom off morphos but could not find a smartfilesystem in L:

MorphOS SFS is in the "ROM" (boot.img).
    1 + 1 = 3 with very large values of 1

does these USB devices have an RDB? (never used on "amiga/amiga like systems)

If they have it, delete SFS 68k from the RDB and type its identifier only.

In this way will be used the MOS native one.

Another way and if you want to use theese USB devices even on Amiga Classic HW, leave the SFS in the RDB and change its version number (in HDToolbox ... no clue if it is possible with other tools) to 1.209 (beeing the native SFS verion 1.210)

In this apparently "weird" way, you'll be able to use the USB device under MOS in native mode and under AmigaOS with the one present in the RDB.

erm... i suggest you to do this test with a "sacrificable"(sp)/(edit) expendable USB device first (no clue if the latest SFS 1.273 is fully compatible with MOS)
