Today I tried the Prelude1200 Clockport Soundcard in my Amiga 1200. Well, at least it works but I am absolutly not happy about the extrem high cpu load (40% load while playing mp3 in kaya is a bit much for a 240 MHz 603e I guess). So I wonder what the problem here is. Is this the fact that the Prelude drivers are 68k or because its the Clockport? Anyone has same effects or expiriences with other cards like Delfina1200/Flipper or Melody1200 on the Clockport?

Trance doesn't work with interrupts (the same thing as emulation of serial.device) so it uses interpretive emulation. It might be this.

So I would need native drivers...damn, we are too late.

Hm, what about a bounty for native drivers?

DJBase, a bounty would be a good idea. Just remember that to start one
it takes $25 from the person asking to start it. If you want let me or
Targhan know and write up the requirments. Thats all you need to do.

Great, but I have already donated for Permedia2 3D driver and I am not that rich. So no bounty for that.

Yes, but can't play a video, games or demos. It eats all your CPU power.
