This information was found on french Amiga site AmigaImpact.org. I post it here as I don't know if it was posted before.

MorphOS powerup installation is missing one font which cause MUI to slow down a lot.
To fix this issue do:

copy sys:morphos/fonts/_ttf/verase.ttf sys:morphos/fonts/_ttf/vera.ttf
