I think it would be good to have a thread to collect suggestions for the PowerUP Version for hardware or features that is currently not supported.

I will start with my first suggestions:
    - AGA Support
    - 3D Support for BVision/CVision
    - Floppy Support
Mac mini, PowerPC G4 1.5 GHz, ATI Radeon 9200 64 MB, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, MorphOS 3.18
PowerBook, PowerPC G4 1.67 GHz, ATI Radeon 9700 128 MB, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB mSATA HDD, MorphOS 3.18

Well... as far as I remember you can safely install Warp3D on PowerUP MorphOS and it will work just fine with Permedia2. You just have to remember about renaming the MorphOS warp3d libraries in MOSSYS:

Floppies should also work as soon as you provide a kickstart file (altho I'm not 100% sure if this version handles writing properly).

I would wish a native Version.

Warp3d is a powerpc, the WarpOS emulation should have little impact on the speed. Of course this won't help much with applications using tinygl.library.

A lot of people use Mediator PCI Board with a graphics card.

I have a Voodoo 3 3000 PCI on my A1200 PPC and not a Bvision.
So I can't use Morphos 1.4.5 on this machine.

    My suggestion :
the support of Mediator PCI Board

Provide the devs a mediator board *and* documentation and i guess you will not get numb ears. Additionally a bounty for mediator support might help (money is always a good "oil" and it shows how big the serious demand for mediator relaly is ).

I'm sure many Mediator owners have send questions about MorphOS support. What we need clear yes/no answer from them. If they won't give support for this project, we need to start bounty for Mediator-support. In this case maybe achievements in OpenPCI, "existing" Mediator HAL for MorphOS 0.x and attempts on Mediator's Linux-support can give some bases. If, by some miraculous event, Elbox decides to support this puts things on different light. Then either Elbox gives out documentation, or developes support by themselves. Btw., is it even possible for Elbox itself create this HAL/driver for MorphOS by themselves without giving out docs?

    - Support for Floppy Drive, USB, etc as the all devices of Amiga 1200/3000/4000 (Serial, parallel,mouse,joypad.etc).

    - Support for BVISION and zorro2/3 cards and others cards

    - Full Warp3D support for BVISION,etc and of course, voodoo3 16Mb, Voodoo4 32Mb and vodoo5 64Mb series.

Warp3D works for all these cards (not sure with V5 if V4 drivers will work). Only BVision needs original Warp3D drivers.

Amiga mouse and keyboard are already supported, obviously.

    lowlevel.library supports the joystick

Stuff banging the mouse and joystick hardware also work.

USB should work if you have some Zorro2 USB card and install Poseidon + drivers.

Builtin serial and parallel ports should also work if you have the .device

    Hi Henes,
and about all the PCI card supported in the PEG ? Will be they supported with GREX ?
SCSI (it seems to be), USB, TV, RADIO, IDE/RAID, Network (I saw 8139 driver),... ?
    Keep the Faith !
    VG 5000/A1000/500/500+/600/2000/1200PPC-GREX/1200PPC-ATEO/1200+1230-IVFPUSCSI/CD32/Pegasos 1 April1 G3/Pegasos 2 G4/ Ahtlon/K6-3/various funny machines too :-)
Maybe one day a G4 AmigaONE when they will be debugged and without April...

OpenPCI is supposed to work on GRex. Titan spent a lot of time working on it.
Maybe some drivers written for openpci.library are usable.

A lot of MorphOS' own PCI drivers are already provided and work: RTL8139, Voodoo, Permedia2, SiS, etc...

I guess old GRex' software should work too: Visionary & co.

    @Henes:
I guess that MorphOS CGX drivers don't use OpenPCI... I have a Prometheus (it's supported by OpenPCI) and it's a pity that I can't run MorphOS... :-/

Do you know if any Prometheus compatible HAL was developed? Documents are available and Krashan knows this card very well.

    well, I'll try to get a GREX4000T or a Permedia2... :-/

As the docs state that only GREX and CVISION PPC are supported I haven't tried to install MOS.

I guess that RTL8029 would work, but I need a graphic card to see anything. I have a Voodoo3, but if MOS CGX drivers don't require OpenPCI.library to work it's doubtful that it will work.

Because the driver in its current form depends on the onboard ROM having executed, and that doesn't happen on PowerUp machines

    "in its current form"

Is there any plan to change its current form ?
I just wonder if one day it will be possible to have Radeon AGP + voodoo PCI.

Here's a suggestion. If you like MorphOS for PowerUp, use the PayPal link ;-)

There's no set amount, just show your appreciation.

This is perhaps not a request for a new hardware feature, but I think that including some "thin" bunch of settings as standard for low end systems would be cool (like this for Ambient: http://home.arcor.de/ambientstyle/temp/Muilight.prefs).

BTW, I think it would be possible to spend an infinite amount of time in adding support for all kind of classic features and configurations, but I also think that one should draw a line somewhere in how much time and effort it is worth to put on a dead-end vintage system. I think we should look at this for what it is, and I do *not* think MorphOS for classics should be considered a way forward and worth investing a lot of efforts in, but rather a way of letting classic users and developers with suitable hardware (or motivation enough to get it) try/use/develop for MorphOS. All in my humble opinion of course.

But I also agree with the rest of you. Use the pay-pal link as a way of telling the morphos team how much you appreciate their classic release, and to encourage further developments in this field. And maybe some things can be done by third party developers as well? There is a nice bounty system available here on MZ, use it! BTW, maybe Elbox and others still making a business in selling hardware for the classic machines will see this as a revitalization of the market, and support the OS with drivers? Has anyone asked Elbox for mediator drivers for instance? It would be interesting to know their position on this ...
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

But remember there are more PowerUP Systems outhere than Pegasos and A1 together. If every second will use MorphOS than we could call this an success for the MorphOS Community. But they would need Support for their Classic Hardware.
