I succesfully installed MOS now, and regged it too
I use a csppc/g-rex4000D setup with the classic voodoo3/512i/8029 pci cards ... there is also and AlgorPRO present in one zorro slot... but I have some q's ...

1. regarding filesystem... I use OS3.9 FFS on the mos/aos partitions...
I just made a 2nd partition of 1.8GB (after the os3.9 1.8GB boot partition) and gave it a boot priority of -5 ... but is there a chance to change the FS of the MOS partition to something better, and NOT screw my HD? I want all other partitions to be the standar OS3.9 FFS as it is speedy on my setup (21 mb/sec) but the MOS one needs another since there is a filename limit in FFS...

2. I have an algorPRO and a kickflash+subway combo available for this amiga. do they work in MOS? I am a regged PSD user and my license covers all hw/os ...

3. I never actually succeded to boot MOS if I have on the S-S the setting to load ROM3.1 from DEVS: ... why? it just stays blank (csppc remapping is OFF) and ofcourse I keep pressing LMB for algor to deactivate... I use a 3.1 A4000 40.68 image from TOSEC as I was bored to grab my own... plus I needed a clean one..
IF I actually get it to load with KS, will it then run some 3.9 utils like unarc or editpad that look for icon.library for example? or is it irrelevant?

about USB..for AlgorPRO I dont know ..but SubwayUSB works perfect whit MorphOS PowerUp!!..and offcours Posedion!

check what filesystem your MOS partition is actually using.

Use this tool or whatever to check the filesystem version (not the one in the RDB)

I made the partition in 3.9 ... copied the mos CD there, edited s-s, and booted from it... so it is 3.9 FFS ...?

I switched to PFS3 for the MOS: partition...
also removed the algorPRO from the zorro bus and fakerom.elf from extmodules...
but why I cannot boot MOS when I have on my S-S the option to use a kickstart image????
I have:

set kickstart "kickstart=DEVS:ROM3.1"

and ofcouse in MOS:DEVS there is the A4000 3.1 rom... also MAPROM is DISABLED

edit: will using a KS help something? like running more 68k progs??? or is it for debugging etc?
