Hi all,

A friend of mine has a huge problem booting Morph OS 1.4.5 Pup.

His confing is: g-rex, voodoo3, blizzard 233Mhz

He has his partition in sfs, we also tried it on ffs but every time he does the cold reset after 30seconds of waiting the disk reads something and then first he gets a reset and after it writes:

ramlib
Program failed (error #80000008 ).
Wait for disk activity to finish.

he's tried to boot with 64MB of ram and 128MB.
Every time he gets the same message.

Check to see if he has two bootable partions at the same time enabled. Thats not a memory error, but a ramlib error. It can be caused from a lot of things.

It doesnt matter if two or one bootable partition is enabled, always ramlib error. I have tried 3 versions of MOSPUP, with all resetlevels. I have done cool boot (over 30s), sfs and ffs partitions. I have rev2 Blizzard from DCE and grex with 1 DMA slot. Please help

Try reading through this thread. It ha several tips from others having the problem with OS3.9 and A1200 sysems. Not MorphOS, but that error is very commen and general.

Its me again. I have discovered something interesting that could help. Ramlib error message is only with 2.2 Flashupdate, with 1.3 Flashupdate MOS is booting very nice but it stops with message setup failed returncode 10. I have notticed that with 1.3 flash, Amiga OS do not see pci cards in my grex. PCI cards are only visible in blizzard menu.

Maybe I will try this way:). Could anyone send me version of MOSPUP working with Grex flashupdate 2.2 on this adress: kfazw@op.pl?

which SFS version are you using? If its one of the latest (1.25x) try with the one on Aminet (1.236 or so)

Edit- check to have all the 68K libraries in "Libs:" (bundled with release 2 and 3 IIRC) and check also that your Startup-Sequence isn't truncated/malformed (i.e it could happens using ED)

SFS SFS 1.254 DONT work Whit MoS PowerUp...but SFS v1.252 is just fine and bootig without any problem..

take care with last MOS PUP+3D UPDATE v2 + Voodoo3, I had to copy back the "DEVS" of the original MOS PUP CD, nor I got black screen...
