I need to alter the settings for resolution 1280x1024 at >8bit because the predefined ones don't work for my graphic card. I have a PicassoIV and this card is limited in 16/24 bit. When I try to lower the refresh rate modeedit decides to change the resolution :-/ On the 68k side with Picasso96 I had no problems creating a 1280x1024x16 resolution at 48Hz (yes, thats the lower limit of myTFT!) with its preference utility. I would like to use the same resolution setting with MorphOS too. I believe it should work but I have no idea how I can make it work.

    Hi,
go to the "screenmode" menu and change the pixelclock for the "Mode" you want.

You mean "ModeEdit", right? Thats what I did but as I wrote, this does also change the resolution to something unusable.

I got it working. I created a monitor definition with the limits of my TFT. Then I could change resolution 1280x1024 to suit my TFT.
