    Hi folks,

    thanks to obliguement mag, article about Morphos on classic, I made my installation work, it turned out that I have a Quamtum Hard drive which according to the article, it won't let MOS boot.. indeed.

    Anyways, my question is if any of you has experienced problems with MOS on Blizzardppc regarding sudden freezes...

    The problem I'm having is that once MOS has boot, it freezes randomly.. I don't know why.. :-(

    Any suggestions?

    thanks!

    Probably not, but: make sure that you're using the standard MOS
    installation only. Since you had other problems before, I guess it's
    possible that some 'helpful' person sent you 'newer' components (a
    library, device etc). Mixing such stuff can lead to random freezes!

    (of course, updates from the official website/ftp are compatible, but
    sometimes people get some internal alpha/beta component to test and
    these may have problems)

    @Merko

    thanks for your reply. I'm using the latest version of morphos, there's no extras. I did some new tests and it seems to get much more stable without my other hard drives connected and no scsi cdrom. Weird, but it seems to be pretty sensitive to some hardware.. it still has some strange behavior, very unstable on my machine, sadly..

    any more tips?

    thanks!

    This is the first time that i read of this problem. And what a bizarre kind of interaction it is.
    I think that it should be made more commonly known. It could be the solution to many frustrated classic users who can't run MorphOS. I can't verify it, as i have a SeaGate.

    If you mean that you can still move your mouse but the screen doesn't update any longer, then yes, i have had a couple of these.
