    Hi..

I'm trying to get morphos to startup from cd..

I've copied the boot dorectory to another partition as it says in the instructions. Then I've run the startup command but I get an error than my 680x0 library is too old.. - mine is the one from the most recent aminet thor mmulib)..

[edit.. doh. i think ive got it. it really means 680x0 as in 68040 or 68060 library... not the actual 680x0 library. so It want me to put the phase5 libs back in instead of the mmulib ones.. ok
    ill try that]

    Heeey!! Same for me.
I solve this put into libs the 68060 and 68040 originals librarys from WB3.9 CD, this way MorpOS runs.

But Im not sure this is correct.

    Ciaa.

OK. still can't get this to work.. what should happen when the amiga reboots.. should it show display anything ?

the boot from cd instructions are not very clear.

    quote

    > cd sys:boot
    > startup hal=roms/hal.com1 kernel=roms/kernel.com1 abox=roms/abox2.com1 module=roms/module.com1 resetlevel=1 ramdebug verbose debug EDebugFlags="NoLogServer NoLogWindow" sumkick disableled delay=1 extmodules=extmodules/#? nokickstart >NIL:

Remember to set the correct path to the Kickstart file!

    ---

what path for the kickstart file ? it doesnt point to any kickstart file ?!?

What do you need to boot from cd. do you need to activate the cyberstorm/blizzapd early boot menu to mount and boot the cd ?

Can someone write some more indepth instructions? these are rather cr*p :-)

On my A4000D CSPPC 200/060-50 I get same error.
    (my 680x0 library too old)
I try with os3.9,aminet-p5 libs, same error message.
    Any solution??? :-(
    Thanks

Did you try 680x0.library or 68060.library? The latter is required. 'x' simply stands for CPU type. Too bad such library exists as well ;)
