OK rebooted with no startup-sequence

Cd to the sys:boot directory

typed Startup command

It reports that startup is not an executable file

Can anyone help?

try with to set the script and/or executable flag for the startup script with

protect SE <startupscript>

startup is not a script, it's a 68k utility that loads and launches MorphOS.
