There is a MorphOS driver for Envy24HT:

    http://www.audio-evolution.com/drivers_mos/

But I don't know if PCIe cards are supported by this.

Can you please check, its vital info for me and many other MOS users.

Maybe SB 5.1 PCI is better card, but would it work with some PCI to PCI-E x1 converter>?

There are no machines with PCI-Express that MorphOS works on so how can there be "many other MOS users" for whom this knowledge is "vital"?

AFAIK, there is no MorphOS for Nemo/X1000. And even if there was, this sub-discussion has been about OS4 anyway.

Back on topic does SHOGO and HERETIC II work on MOS?

Any recommended games and apps, preferably native (I am speaking of khm
commercial games, I will rip off Aminet anyway :)

Which old games work so I can securely buy them (QUAKE I CLickBoom, NAPALM, NIGHTLONG and those CD class games I am interested in)

Surely I will buy what Vesalia says that work.

I have Hoolywood 5.2 (will update to 5.3) but will it work under MOS?

Napalm does run on Morphos but there are a some gfx problems. For example if a vehicle drives behind
a building then you can see grafic faults. You need a few fixes and updates. At the beginning of the game
there comes a console message, leave it open and switch back to the game. Loading window looks
    like a stairway.
(this updates have not been written for Morphos but for OS4) Take a look here:
    http://morphos.npage.de/napalm-mos-installer.html

If thats no problem for you - than I can recommend the game on Morphos.

Then you read it wrong. Beside the 9250, Radeon graphics cards supported in both 2D and 3D on OS4 are 9000 and 9200 (as Jim said) as well as 7000, 7200 and 7500.

What I find odd is that you call inserting an additional lower-end graphics card that's used to run certain games while the main desktop and all other software still run on the higher-end graphics card a "downgrade".

This must have been the not-so-old days then, given that the 9250 was released only in July 2004 ;-) Some news items from the old days:

    http://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2003-10-00129-EN.html
    http://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2003-10-00131-EN.html
    http://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN-2004-02-00079-EN.html

So you can see that the first Radeon they worked with was the first Radeon there was, i.e. the 7000. This is also what's used on the Micro-A1. What followed were the 7200 and the 7500 and then the 9000/M9 (as used on the Sam440ep) and the 9200.
And before Radeon, they worked with Voodoo and Permedia 2 cards btw.

Yes, 2004 saw the first public release of OS4. But it had already been in development some years before with internal drivers, so pre-9250 Radeon, Voodoo and Permedia 2 cards is what "they worked with" during that time. Besides, the earliest official mention of the 9250 in OS4 context I could find is this from 2006 about the 5th public OS4 release:

    http://www.hyperion-entertainment.biz/index.php?option=com_content&id=71

At least 7x00 cards had been worked with before that.

They had Warp3D support for Permedia 2 and Voodoo 3 cards in November 2003, but it didn't make it into the first three public OS4 releases:

    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2025&forum=14#24045
    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4986&forum=14#64958

The 4th public OS4 release from June 2005 "contains Warp3D V51, the all new, OS4-native version of the classic 3D hardware driver system. This release includes completely re-written drivers for the Voodoo 3 (Avenger), Voodoo 4/5 (Napalm) and the Radeon 7x00 series of graphics cards".

Which makes it all the stranger that they would jump from the Radeon 7500 to the 9000.
The 8500 has quite an advantage over the 9000, and we are now finding a few FireGL 8800 cards with even faster 8500 based gpus.
If I was to revisit this under MorphoS, the FGL 8800 would be something I'd look for (although Pega-1 tells me I would have to add the card id to the driver).

Saly SAM really needs Radeon 2400HD or better (4000,6000HD) and I quite gamble with buying X1550 now, hope that SAM version will boost development of such drivers for MOS

The Sam460 running MorphOS was shown with Radeon X1300 at Pianeta Amiga:

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?forum=11&topic_id=8931&start=95

The developer says that besides the X1300, also X1650 and X1950 work:

MorphOS for Sam460 is supposed to come with R700 (HD4000) drivers:

Nice news since I do have 4000HD inside but I am buying X1550 low profile
for Lorianos case. If I knew this before I would order 4000HD LP.

What to do with SATA controller and audio in PCI-E x1 since SAM460ex is veery
limited board with only single SATA?

Or better SB 5.1 in PCI and fast SATA2 supported by Uboot, Linux, OS4 and MOS in PCI-E x1?

This will NOT be an easy transition, but may bring full range zp to my ex X1000 monster card Radeon Barts and beyond ...

    P.S.
Please provide short answers, not links

Also, no one sells MOS software? OK there is Vesalia
