Talk about a big question mark of the level of support on release, not just Warp3d but any 3D (or any at all!) at first.

Problem is that SAM460 doesnt accept older PCI-E cards and needs PCI slot for SATA.

Sillicon motion is slower then old cards we used in Blizzard ...

I was not aware of that problem.
And yes, Silicon image SATA controllers are a little slow.
And the faster Promise cards recently support, being PCI, will have their application limited to older systems moving forward.

But, why not look at a Promise controller?
Once the SAM460 is supported, they ought to work.

Thanks INTUITION :-) (ah we do have fanous screen dragging? :-)

Its my favourite so much I have disliked the recent reboot as not horror enough.

Pssst ... and one of minor reasons of my transition :-)

Ugh, the built-in 2d graphics chip?
Sorry missed that as I'd never considered it.

Yes, and audio is crappy too ... so does MOS see a PCI-E sound card that Acube sells?

Well, SATA controller, I have SiL and would use faster one IF OS4 and LINUX see it too ...

You see, I understand why it isn`t easy to do MOS for SAM460

There is alist of supported audio chips on the morphos homepage, wether thats onboard pci or pcie probraly won't much difference.
    Imo best way:
    Supported pcie gfx
    Supported pcie sata
Supported pci sound (3.3V sblive! might be the best option)

But as allways dont buy until an official release has been announced including detailed list of supported HW.

I ask you mighty Puppet so I don`t have to compare

    I have:

    - Integrated crap onboard of SAM460
    - Sound Blaster 5.1 with EMU101k PCI but I damn it need PCI slot for SATA
    - option to buy PCI-E x1 card from Acube, damn it they dont have it %$$!#$! I can dag out what card it was ...

I asked Enrico how to solve that shitty siuation that begins with bad SATA onboard (unlike SAM440) and bad sound and 2D (unlike SAM440EX) and he ... didn`t really reply

I remember that you put at least a little research into Silicon Motion's product line:

It's probably just remaining stock anyway, so sorting out of supply issues is out of question.

Thanks a lot Andreas, much love to you for help!

I could not find it in SHOP -> ACESSORIES

Anyway, is Envy24 supported under MOS and Linux and would
MOS read it in PCI-E slot

Is there a PCI -> PCI-E x1 converter to insert my SB 5,1?

The Swedish Amiga store GGS Data still has it as a hard copy, but I don't know if he will ship abroad. Mail and ask him.

I am for real. Inserting a PCI Radeon in Nemo doesn't require lifting the PCIe Radeon. You can find Warp3D-supported PCI Radeon cards for instance there:

Yes, VOX. Andreas is almost always serious.
And the same cards that support Warp-3d functions under MorphOS work under OS4 as well.

Even once the HD cards have 3D support, the earlier cards will have this advantage.

Not quite. Cards with R200 GPU (the actual chip, not the family) like 8500 and 9100 don't work in 3D under OS4.
