I have an eMac 800MHz taking up space.
    Need it moved.
Fully working, currently running MacOS 9.2

Free to a good home, delivery to Central Belt Scotland done for the price of fuel, further away done at cost.

Not sure why this is posted on a MorphOS forum, since I am pretty sure this model is not supported and cannot run any version of MorphOS.
MorphOS - The best Next Gen Amiga choice.

right, so no one tinkers and might want to try expanding the hardware that MorphOS runs on.

MacOS 10.5 only runs on 867 and above, but I had that running on this.

ITS FREE HARDWARE. Its offerd to the local MacOS user group to.

Consider the offer removed due to the outstanding negativity given to someone trying to give somthing away for free. :-x

Its off to the dump then

The way things are done inside MorphOS ONLY team-members could add the model-identifier into the boot.img (which would be the absolute 1st step when getting MorphOS to run a new HW).

You also haven't told us wether your 800MHz eMac is the Ati or NVidia variant (there are 0.0 drivers for anything NVidia).

IMO (and really only IMO) any eMac, wether supported or not should be placed in a dumpster ....... I'd rather take a 400MHz Powermac !

May I suggest Amibay to shift it? http://www.amibay.com/

    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/emac/specs/emac_800.html

Almost certainly wouldn't be good for MorphOS as it'll have an nVidia graphics.

It is a nice offer, but this model probably has built in Geforce GFX and will never run MorphOS. eMacs in general are typicaly seen as the 2nd least desirable hardware for MorphOS. You probably over estimate the MorphOS userbase. Worldwide there may about 1,000 users give or take. The number of active M<orphzone members are probably in the low hundreds. The chances of reaching someone local to you in Soctland is low.

Welcome to Morphzone BTW. We are usually a friendly bunch so don't take anything personally. It is just that your kind offer just won't likely be taken up.

Since you are here, have you used MorphOS? We're all mostly previously long time users of the Commodore Amiga, were you a Commodore Amiga user?

800Mhz eMac as well as the 1Ghz eMac have different hardware and are not supported.

Only 1.25 and 1.42 Ghz models are supported.
