    I have decided to sell one of my pride and joys. It is really hard for me to let this great computer go, as it really runs MorphOS3.1 so well and it is so compact and easy to move around and set up anywhere.

    I just can't justify keeping so many different registered MorphOS computers, as I can't use them all and the only real reason for keeping this G4 MacMini would be to make it easier to set up an additional MorphOS3.x computer at next year's AmiWest Show.

    It appears that there is a very good chance that we will have a port of MorphOS3.1 to the G5 PowerMac before next Oct., so I will then have one more computer that is capable of running MorphOS, as my dual 2.7GHz G5 should be supported by then.

    I will be keeping the Dual 2.7GHz G5, just for it's shear speed and power advantage over the 1.5GHz G4 MacMini, plus the video cards it can work with and the fact that I run MacOSX & Final Cut Studio on it now.

    I had considered selling my G4 PowerMac instead of the G4 MacMini, but it is harder to ship, and I like the fact that I can put better video cards into it, I can use my Catweasel Mk3, or Mk4 to read and write Amiga floppy disks, and it has the room inside for up to four 3.5" hard drives.

    The G4 MacMini has advantages too, like the size and low power usage. It will come with the included BlueTooth and WiFi AirPort card installed, but only supported by MacOS, not MorphOS3.1. It will have a clean install of MorphOS3.1 plus the registration keyfile on an 80gb internal hard drive.

    This is the 1.5GHz G4 MacMini with the Radeon 9200 & 64mb of VRAM, which is the last and best G4 MacMini you can buy. It has a ful 1gb of RAM installed and the SuperDrive DVD+/-RW optical drive.

    I am asking for $300.00 US dollars, plus shipping costs. I can include a Mac mouse if you want one, but no keyboard is included. AFAIK, any USB keyboard and mouse will work with this system.

    Contact me via email if interested, just use my user name here @ earthlink dot net.

    Almost forgot, the top of the case has been painted and a cutout of a Blue Morpho butterfly is fixed over the amateur paint job. It is not exactly a great job, but I think it looks nicer than the grey apple that was there before. I will send anyone who is seriously interested in buying it a picture of the case, when they send me an email with their interest.

    >any USB keyboard and mouse will work with this system.

    I have a Mac just like that and I can confirm that it works with all USB mice I have tried with it, but that the various USB keyboards I have tried with it all have intermittent problems (eg. Backspace etc. not working in MUI gadgets) which may conceivably be partially caused by them not being official Mac keyboards. (Otherwise purely a MOS software bug.) So potential purchasers may want to use an official keyboard to work around this issue.

    I have to say that my usb keyboard/mouse set didn`t work with the mini I had, at least uboot didn`t know about it anyway so I couldn`t boot from cd.

    ...or rather OpenFirmware than U-Boot :-)

    I have always used normal PC keyboards on my Macs (PowerMac MDD and Mini) and they work perfectly both under MorphOS and MacOS. The only problem is always been (probably) the Openfirmware not recognizing perfectly some keys.. For example I have never been able to open the startup menu pressing and holding the "Alt" key at boot. Every time I need to access to this menu I have to connect the Apple keyboard!

    @Micky060

    you should keep pressed right Alt key ("Alt Gr" in spanish keyboards). It works in all keyboards I have tested.

    My "el cheapo" kbd I used before the A1242 worked flawlessly with my 1.5 GHz mini, also my usb micro kbd. No prob to enter the firmware menu and no issues with MorphOS.
