As the title says, there are 8 more of these 1.5GHz G4 MacMini's on eBay right now.

I just bought two of them to send to developers that want to code for MorphOS and will be mailing them off as soon as I get them to Australia.

If anyone wants to chip in a little toward my purchase of these two developer system, let me know via email, but I don't expect anyone's money (only if they want to help). It was my decision to buy these for developers, because I thought the price was good for the 1.5GHz models that have the 64mb VRAM and that model is sometimes harder to find. There are a few others on eBay right now, but they are all priced a lot higher.

Good catch, and a good thing to spread the news to potential MorphOS users in the US that might be looking for a nice little system like this! The Mini is really great, so small, silent and powerful. I have one of these myself!

So do I. I had agreed to give mine away to one of the developers and found it so hard to let go of, I started looking for other MacMini's to buy for that developer and that is how I found these.

I spent almost twice that amount on mine, plus paid the higher registration fee (IIRC), plus bought an external Lacie hard drive enclosure that sits under it and matches it perfectly, so it was really too hard for me to give mine away, as I easily have over $500 invested in it. They are excellent MorphOS systems.

One might also look on ebay's small-adds (assuming those exist outside Germany) just scored a nice 1.5 Mini with 1/80GB for 160Euro (and it was quite local too).

Anyone wanting one of these 1.5GHz G4 Mini's that cannot purchase from your country can contact me via email. If you will send me the money via PayPal, I will purchase the Mini for you and ship it to you at your cost, with no extra money for my trouble.

There's a nice 1.4ghz system for $250 on the for sale section.. some chap by the name of "TheMagicM" is selling it. Nice guy. lol

You can get a compatible "only 1.25 Ghz eMac models have been tested and are officially supported" eMac for even cheaper, I think even accounting for shipping (well, domestically anyway, don't know if international shipment of an heavy item like that will be exorbitant).

The advantages of going with the eMac are in part that the monitor is built-in.

What's the word on the MorphOS experience on the eMac? Is the performance okay, does anyone know?

I've got one, it's only got 32mb of graphics ram, it's big, heavy, and the fan is rather noisy. Preformance didn't seem much different to an MacMini, of a comprable speed.
