Hi guys. I am looking to sell my brand new and unused mac mini g4. I purchased this as new old stock a while ago and its been sitting in my room ever since. The box has been opened to verify the contents but the machine has never even been powered on. Specs are as follows: 1.42ghz G4, 256mb RAM, 80GB hard drive and combo CD burner/DVD-ROM. I had intended to make this my MorphOS machine but need the cash.

Comes with Mac OS X 10.4 installed (cd media also included).

I'm located in Perth, Western Australia but i'm willing to post internationally at the buyers expense.

The following links contain photos of the mac mini.

    Thanks for looking!

So how can you possibly know it powers on at all?

    :-)
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
    Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

    Hi DiskDoctor.

I don't mind setting it up and seeing if it switches on- I have no reason to believe it wouldn't 8-) I just wanted to leave the machine completely untouched for the new owner. If someone expresses genuine interest in buying it I will plug it in and take more photos :-)

Since it's NOS you might want to do 1 boot to verify if it's not a silent-upgrade. 1.5GHz isn't that much more, but the doubled VRAM (64 instead of 32MB) will make a huge difference when selling.

    Just a joke of course!

I personally wish that you wouldn't touch the power button :-) Then the mini remains a new MorphOS HW as I stated already.

BTW upgrading RAM should not be a problem. Even mine having 512 MB is said to support up to 1 GB, just never had enough urge to upgrade it.

All the "silent upgrade" models had 512 Megs of RAM, so it'd probably be a M9687xx/A rather than M9687xx/B or M9971xx/B (the 1,5 GHz ones).

I'm 99.9% sure this is not the silent upgrade model. If anyone is interested they can contact me via pm or through the email address displayed on my profile.
