I've got a similar problem after changeing battery - the MAC was corrupted so that the MOS-keyfile would'nt work......
If you turn off EFIKA for 5 mins and turn it on WITHOUT the battery in place, the correct MAC should establish. If it does you can replace the battery during EFIKA is running......- if not try again! (thank Geit for this hint)
Btw: The origin MAC is (should be?) hardwarecoded and not stored in any backup-RAM. AFAIK there is only a possibility to set a 2nd, in the last 4 bytes different MAC only for the actually running session....I've read about this in a Freescale OF manual, but I don't know how one could activate this on EFIKA - I've tried this with "set-env local-mac-address xxxx" (only the last 4 bytes are changeable) - but it doesn't take effect on EFIKA.......(although the EFIKA-SF knows this command.....)
Maybe this will help you to get "this piece junk" running.........
