I guess that could be done, but there are not only cells there. For the stock ones - I guess it's the inside electronics that is tricky to cheat it's brand new. As for replacing the cells in a "replacement pack" - that's an interesting option.
Isn't the A1139 battery just the same as in early MacBook Pro?
