    I have a G4 PowerBook (5,8) for sale. Specs:

    - 1,67 GHz PowerPC G4 (7447A) processor
    - 2 GB of PC4200 DDR2 RAM
    - ATi Radeon 9700M with 128 MB of VRAM
    - 15,0" display with a native resolution of 1440x960
    - 80 GB 5400 rpm PATA hard drive
    - built-in AirPort and Bluetooth
    - English/UK keyboard layout
    - original 65W power adapter
    - MorphOS 3.9 installed (not registered)

The battery isn't especially strong, at full charge system shows about 1-1,5 h of battery life.

I'm asking for 80 EUR (plus shipping)

I will add a link to some photos later this day.

    Edit: And sold. Thanks.

OK, here goes. It's an imgur link to some photos.

A you can see the laptop is in general good condition, with some minor scratches (on the lid, on the palmrest) and one dent (near the charging port). Oh, and one of four rubber "legs" is missing.

I am interested. Do you have any idea how much shipping to Sweden would cost?

About 20 EUR. I write you down as second in line (one other user sent me a PM earlier declaring his interest).

The 'rubber' feet can be replaced with suitable grey UK electrical cable outer sheathing, cut out with a paper hole punch, and glued on with Bostick All Purpose glue - at least that is what I have done with my PowerBooks, and they look, and the procedure works really well - no scratching the glass table, or the base of the PowerBook, and they are level, so no wobbling, just a nice stable, and not slippery placement on virtually any level surface.
    MacMini 1.5GHz,64MB VRAM, PowerBooks A1138/9 (Model 5,8/9),PowerMac G5 2.3GHz(DP), iMac A1145 2.1GHz 20", all with MorphOS v3.18+,Airport,Bluetooth,A1016 Keyboard,T-RB22 Mouse,DVD-RW-DL,MiniMax,Firewire/USB2 & MacOSX 10.4/5

Very good hardware for MorphOS. In my opinion the best if someone wants laptop! :)

    I hope you won't leave MorphOS-comunity.

Agreed. This is the 128mb vram version. The fastest, best PPC Apple laptop for MorphOS.
Its a good price too (although my view may be skewed be the current exchange rate which makes European purchases attractive).

No chance. Just I'm not a laptop person myself and it's just gathering the dust ATM. Besides, I have two more (albeit not this top-notch model), not counting my three G5's (my wife stopped complaining, now it's "meaningful silence" when she looks at all this mess).

    ..."meaningful silence"...uh, oh.

    Yeah, been there.
I have two G4s, two G5s, and a laptop (and that doesn't include the X64, legacy, or other hardware).
Definitely time to move some of it out.
Three G5s? BTW - Do you heat your home with them running them all at once?

Nah, one is my main machine (and yes, it adds a few degrees to my room temp), one is a "spare" (and it's moving out as the next one after the PowerBook is gone, much to my wife's joy) and the last one is a 2,3 GHz Dual Core I keep stashed behind the bed hoping it gets supported by MorphOS some day.

A few degrees? Is it a very small room?

I was writing to an American, so I thought in Fahrenheit :)

Okay, that sounds more plausible then. I didn't think of that.

I keep the one I'm using in the lower part of the house and rather enjoy the small amount of heat on my legs (but I'm getting old, and you know we 'old farts' don't generate enough body heat).
