I'm willing to sell a PowerMac G5 Dual Processor 2,3 GHz (aka the fastest MorphOS supported air-cooled G5 Powermac).

    Specs:

    - Two PowerPC G5 (970fx) processors clocked at 2,3 GHz
    - 4 GB of PC3200 DDR RAM (4 x 1 GB, leaving four slots free for further upgrade)
    - Genuine Apple ATi Radeon 9600 Pro with ADC and DVI output (64 MB VRAM)
    - 160 GB HDD
    - 4X DL SuperDrive optical drive
    - MorphOS 3.9 installed (not registered)

You can see some photos of the computer here.

Unfortunately the case got damaged near one of the "handles" (and that makes opening the case a bit harder than it should be). You can see everything on the photos.

I'm asking for (EDIT: 60 EUR) plus shipping.

OK, I've changed the gfx card to genuine Apple Radeon 9600 XT (128 MB VRAM) and added four 512 MB RAM sticks (now it's got a total RAM amount of 6 GB). All that can be yours now for only 80 EUR plus shipping.

80 euros for something that can outperform an X5000, oh you Europeans.
That is less than it would sell for in the US!

Too bad about the case damage. Since these machines aren't "state of the art" any more, the case is one of the most important parts of what is left. At least it is to some people (like me). I like the looks of the G5 case, but prefer the functionality (ease of accessibility & expansion capabilities) of the G4 PowerMac case.

Well, unfortunately the PowerMac G5 is notorious for case damage in transport. It happens all the time, over and over again. And the more postal workers involved the greater chance it will eventually get crippled somehow. The case looks great and solid, but it's so fragile...

Generally the thing is too bulky for my taste, but well, how much is shipping to Niemcy?

Again, too bad its too damned heavy to ship to the US.
If you lived over here, I'd buy it just for the option of swapping in 2.5 or 2.7 GHz cpus while retaining the air cooling.

That would be fair and I was tempted, but I just looked local offers just in case, and to my surprise I found similar one quite close to me and I'm going to pick it up next week, so that makes me not interested about yours afterall :) But if there happens to be some problems with my deal and you still have it, I'll be back...

I'm lowering the price to 60 EUR just to let it go. It's a real nice system, too bad about the case damage.

Wow! Shipping throughout Europe appears to be much more economical than what we have over here.
I'm not sure I could ship something that heavy inside the US that cheaply.

Yeah that's crazy talk. 25 eur? If I remember my A1289 cheesegrater wighed 65 pounds. (29.5kg)
See how far 25 bucks will ship anything in the US

Not looking forward to the shipping costs after I put the A1289 on e-bay
    M$ buys GitHub?

I guess it pretty much depends what country are you sending from :) From Germany to Greece it would be more like 40-50 EUR, despite the distance is quite the same.
Besides, if I would like to send this baby from Poland to Malta (non-continental Europe) the shipping cost would be like 50 EUR (and for USA - more like 120 EUR).

My only problem is space right now, otherwise the price is very very good. Would you consider giving me a couple of weeks to make room before buying it?

Mine was shipped from Spain to UK for 25 in 2013. Can't remember if or was GBP or EUR though.

Yet I shipped just a Peg2 mobo from UK to Germany recently and that cost me 50GBP.

Well, we can have a "gentelman's agreement" that I will reserve the computer for you and then you will buy it, say - before June 16th. Is that OK?
I was in contact with Cool_amigaN (he's from Greece too, maybe you know him?), but all of the sudden he stopped responding (and the PM's I sent him from what I see are still unopened). In the meantime I'll wrap and pack the thing to make sure the case won't get hurt any harder - it's already suffered enough from the postal workers.
