Cool! Glad to see that there are that many registered machines out there. I'll be registering at least 1 or 2 more here in the near future my self!!!

It's always great to see new users and old users who have returned as well!

I'm also waiting for my keyfile. I bought Dragster's spare system, got some goodies coming in the mail also:

    SATA Controller
    USB 2.0
    Radeon 9100

Can't wait either.. the 30 min time outs are driving me nutty, but it will be worth the wait for sure!

    @pan1k,

Welcome to the party Chris. I think you are going to really enjoy your Peg2 and MorphOS2.7. 3.0 should be released soon which will have even more enhancements and features for all of us.

I did not even know that you had an Efika before your Peg2? (or I forgot that you had it, it has been a long time since you visited)

Let us know what your registration number is so we can add it to the MorphOS Counter thread. I think we are getting close to, or just over 1,400 registered MorphOS computers now. The number comes in one of the emails sent during the registration process, but I can't remember if it is in the email that comes with the keyfile, or in the email that requests the payment.

1400 not bad.. there is probably about 100 keys out for various devs and freebies as well.

The crazy thing is there are quite a few odws out there that have morphos installed on them that are being used as linux boxes. Of course, there are many of them who many not ever visit here. When the PEgasos ppc linux forums were active there were some guys there.

Do you mean MorphOS 1.x here or registered MorphOS 2.x? In case of MorphOS 1.x I think that those Linux users have probably deleted the MorphOS partition long since.

    > Of course, there are many of them who many not ever visit here.

True, there's little incentive for Linux users to frequent a MorphOS message board.

Indeed, I would. At least I wouldn't keep operating systems I don't use on my machine, but that may be just me.

It was said to me once, though I can't recall by whom, that there could possibly an offset. Anyone with a very low number care to chime in?

I guess you mean that the very first registered sale of MorphOS2.0 had a number higher than "One" and that is the "offset" you are talking about.

I wouldn't know anything about that, but I would be surprised if one of the MorphOS Dev. Team members did not correct our misconception about the number of registered license keyfiles before now, if what you guess is true. They do not seem to be concerned about hiding the number of registrations, like Hyperion and most other companies. That is a fact that I give more credit to the MorphOS Dev. Team, that they do not feel compelled to practice such silly business practices as hiding the number of licenses from their users.

We all know that we are part of a very small group of users and no one tries to fool anyone into thinking differently. I am not saying that Hyperion actively tries to fool anyone into thinking that they have a larger userbase than they actually have, but they do refuse to release their sales numbers, like most companies.

What do you mean how do I use them? I barely touch ubuntu on the peg since i run 11.04 on my x86 box as main os. I do use OSx sometimes for Final Draft. Other than that its mostly morphos.. having said this i'm certainly not going to delete my linux partition...

That's what I meant. I have always admired your triple-boot deal. I'd like to do some dual-or-triple-booting on my Pegasos.

Its actually Quad boot with an earlier version of ubuntu! I hade Suse on it before but I screwed up the install somewhat then I installed ubuntu over it..

But its pretty easy to do just make the partitions.. and use bootcreator or whatever.

    That's what amigadave told you:
