Hi guys, I still not 100% sure about this, but I am thinking about the possibility to sell my own PegasosII G4 1Ghz (it has been the absolute first one arrived in Italy, but this is another story.. ;-))
Togheter with the Pegasos I'll give MorphOS 2.x REGISTERED KEY (you know its value..), DDR module and a brand new PCI UltraWide2 SCSI card 100% compatible with MorphOS. If needed I can give also Graphic cards (you can choose between 8500, 9000Pro, 9200, 7500..), Sound blaster Live!, Case+PSU , and DVD-Rom, DVD-RW..

Remember that at the moment this the only system that can run (fastly..) both MorphOS and AmigaOS4..
I was thinking about 400 Euros for:
    - Pegasos II
    - G4 cpu card + modded copper cooler with fan
    - 512MB DDR module
    - Brand New Ultra Wide SCSI 2 card
    - REGISTERED 2.x MorphOS Key

    That's it :-)

Sorry to see your peg2 go... how is the MDD in comparison? Can you write a mini review?

magnetic I'm still sad too, but the PowerMac is faster and as MorphOS user I prefer to use my OS in the fastest way I can..

    These are just little examples:

QuakeIII on both machines useing the SAME graphic board (used on the PegII, flashed with MAC bios and fitted in the MAC, so it's actually THE SAME :-))

    PegasosII: 800 x 600 44,1 FPS
    PegasosII: 1024 x 768 39,1 FPS

    PowerMac: 800 x 600 56 FPS
    PowerMac: 1024x768 46,3 FPS

Memtest ("memtest disable" in a shell)

    PegasosII: Write 483 MB/sec. Verify 230 MB/sec.
    PowerMac: Write 727 MB/sec. Verify 376 MB/sec.

..as you can see there is a quite consinstent improvement and consider that at the moment I am "just" on a 1,25Ghz CPU. I intend to overclock it or buy a faster one.

Cool. Besides benchmarks what real world examples can you give of the speed? For instance is OWB faster in loading pages? that kind of thing..

I can't say it's faster loading pages but I can say that browseing and scrolling pages seems "smoother"

Now we have the same machine! :-)
If you are able to overclock it (the speed is never enough:-)) let me know how to do that without melting the cpu :-)
The MDD is a great and fascinating machine and MorphOS flies on it. I've registered last week now I'm waiting for my key to not have to reboot every 30 minutes.
I'm starting to have fun again! 8-)

The fan is a little bit noisy that's a fact :-(
AFAIR (it's about 3 years I sold my Peg so now I'm used with bloated OSes:-)) the speed improvement vs my old Peg is noticeable. The bech posted by Michele said all.
You double click on an application and... bang, it's loaded!
    :-)

Mac Mini @ 1.5GHz..small, relatively quiet (compared to PowerMAC).

    Do it! ;)

...and Fw800 vs MacMini@1,5? Can you notice remarkable speed/response differences?

It seems you own all G4's models around:-)
