iMac G5 does not use CPU modules. The G5 is directly soldered on mainboard. See:

You are right about cpu speed, iMac G5 seem to be slightly slower, but I guess I could live with MorphOS running on a 2Ghz G5 iMac with Radeon9600... Some of the iMacs have 2.1Ghz G5 with even better Radeons,
