Bounties Rewrite

    FYI:

Due to out-of-town work, I've only been able to sparesly work on the new bounties system, but I am hoping to have it up in a months' time. This new system should allow others to moderate existing projects, and will likely support multiple "pots" (i.e., different admins being able to host running totals for software bounties on the site.)

More info will be posted as it becomes available.

    @acill PM me.

I'm looking forward to being able to update the bounties page on my pwn as the donations come in. Keep us up to date on the results Targhan and thanks again for the work you've done on the page.

I'm still going over the "main code" for the bounties pages, and am looking at what I can keep and what I can fix. I am hoping to create a new d/b for the bounties stuff separate from main site d/b. I would like to replace the "bounty number" with a "bounty admin" entry to show who is in charge of collected, maintaining, and distributing funds from a given bounty. Keep in mind that this stuff is all home-brewed php.

Oh and short of making any official announcement on the matter of submitting bounties--please just use the forums. The Spam-robots have discovered the mail-script for the bounty submissions page, and my inbox is just flat out inundated with so much spam that it's difficult to filter it all; thus, I'm going to axe that form and script sometime this week.

No, otherwise the Permedia2_3D bounty would be over $100.

With a new Sputnik near I have to reiterate:
Please update the bounties its highly discouraging for
donors and more important sponsored coders.

Of course Targhans RL stuff is more important so if there is
anything I can do to help tell me

I agree that in order to be attractive the bounties need to be kept up
to date. I hope Targhan is able to complete the rewrite, and that his
RL problems get solved with the best possible outcome...

    Kind regards,
    Andrea

    Updates please..

I have got mail from people (because of the Sputnik for OS4 bounty) who won't donate to the Sputnik bounty until they see the bounties site updated.

Since Amigabounty don't accept further donations for Marcik (as the goal has been reached long time ago), it would be a shame if some people didn't donate because of lack of updates.

Btw. people always like to see progress, so I'm sure a site updated on a regular basis would see far more contributions :-)
