    Getting tired of loading the eztcp thread and then goto
    last page after loading is finished. MZ isnt that fast
    either :-)

    ok, things are getting better here, with Mosnet 0.17

    Maybe its the fiddling with env and config files or that
    i changed to built-in via_rhine network.

    starting a smbfs share in shell and using plain
    shell copy, i copy a 25.3mb file in 4 secs(counting out loud). Thats damn nice ~6.3mb/s.

    Trying a bigger 733mb iso, it took 1 min 47 secs with a timer watch. thats around 6.8mb/s.

    So atleast something works.

    With ftp into the same pc computer (ftpserv on pc)
    i get around 80k/s download , so thats really wierd.

    Upload in either shell copy or ftp doesnt work, or its so
    slow its barely transfering something.

    settings:
    mosnet/db/general.config i added :

    tcp_nodelay=1
    tcp_sendspace=16384
    tcp_recvspace=16384
    rfc1323=1
    sb_max=32768

    But scanning the mosnet binary, seems nearly all of the config options are
    gone, if not they are not working.

    rfc1323=1 will enable tcp_recv/sendspace to be greater than 64k, for whoever
    needs this, if setting tcp_sendspace=65536 nothing will work, giving you
    buffer errors.

    These and alot of other options for ifconfig was found on google, searching for
    ifconfig mtu, fconfig tuning, etc, there are loads if help, but nearly nothing
    works on current mosnet.

    Wierd thing is how download to pegasos nearly works in full 100mbit speed, and
    upload doesnt even remotely remind of any transfering at all, could probably yell
    the binarystuff to someone writing it down faster.

    ENV:sana2/via_rhinepci_0.config is set to AUTONEGOTIATE

    the network is plugged directly into a switch.

    Okay, I tried MOSNet 0.17 and here is what I got:

    1) It does start the network and DHCP finds my router, however the connection doesn't seem to work well enough to support my Internet apps. I tried aWeb and it queries me for cookies (on pages that don't normally require them?) and then craps out without loading any page. I tried WookieChat and it tries to make the connection to irc.freenode.net but then it just sits there. I get the feeling that the network is sending super slow packets or deformed packets but I don't really know.

    2) I can ping stuff. I pinged www.ann.lu and got average response time of 230 ms. I pinged morph.zone and got average response time of 117 ms.

    I also tried antibike's alternate startnet and stopnet scripts. Those just didn't work for me.

    Well, although MOSNet doesn't work for me at this time, I can see that it is coming along so I will try the next release or the one after that.

    I just started using it the other day to test it out. I average 80k/sec downloads max. I havent tried to upload. I use it with DHCP and a router. So far MiamiDX is much faster.
