Please, blame me, it's me who is the sucker... Not ixemul.
I've just removed duplicated getpass() entry from the functions table. It was called instead of umask(). This is the reason for that strange pause. Probably this also caused crashes with netinfo.device.
In v0.15 this will be fixed. Also i'll revert mbuf configuration to previous values, so it should become faster again.
Also i expect to finish dhcp support and netstat tool, netdb support functions are already there. And - go for MiamiPanel.
P.S. I wonder how everything worked at all. I never crashed with my usergroup.library. This is what can be called true automagic
