SSHCON Bounty Open!

The first "Self Bounty" operated by MuForce, the release that software taskforce is now open for donations. See sshCon's page for more information.

The goal has been set at $199, which should be reachable--since $30 have been added to this fund from the General fund. What's more, jacaDcaps has set the bar fairly high for the self-bounties by making sure the software is already in beta-stages and also would like donors to help with beta-testing.

Of all the bounties, I (targhan) am as interested in this one as I would be for even the TCP stack, since I try to operate MZ from MorphOS -- which means (currently) that I'm stuck with AmTelnet which is not MorphOS native!

    Thanks for the catch Robin.

LOL, sorry about the drainage Robin ;-)

Seriously, I don't want to put a burden on the users, so please don't ever feel that you have to donate to everything that comes along... In fact, for the users who would like their friendly neighborhood webmaster to keep his fingers, maybe donating is a bad thing

between the general fund's initial "padding" and a donation by weiseb, we're about 1/3 of the way towards the goal already! Wow.

What do you mean by "full" version? If you mean working key combos that do not work with currently available PowerTerm then yes, it is the "full" version ;)

Some of the supported keys: all standard ctrl+x sequences, F1-F12 keys, pageup/down/home/end keys, mouse buttons and wheel, keypad keys.

Anyways... good to see there is some interrest. The 1st betas should be sent out next week to the 1st 5 people that donated something.

Hehe ... It's not because you put things up ...
but you put things up I use heavily ;-)
openssh is a pain in the a** and most of the time
displays things different than what I'd expect ...
too bad I have to wait for my money to arrive on
the paypal-account before I can donate.

It's really great to see things moving after such
a long period of setting it up :-D

    @donors for this bounty
I will be making a special forum for this bounty that will allow uploads and downloads of *.lha and *.txt files for logs and the beta's when ready. jaca will be moderator (whether he likes it or not!).

Cool to see people donating! I'd like to encourage everyone to donate something to the project :) The benefits will be: a) more motivation for the author (= better, nicer app), b) all donors will receive a beta before the official release!

The early betas should be sent out tommorow to the 1st 5 people (as promised). Other donors will get it with 1-2 week delay.

Targhan got the 1st betas today and I can assure you he is already more than in love with sshcon ;)

Thanks Jaca! I certainly hope this isn't harming your other efforts ;-)

Seriously, the early beta I recieved shows a lot of promise, and really makes the original ported ssh client usable. Also, the timing of the early beta could not be better, since I'm doing a lot of tarballs trying to back up morphzone for the upgrade!
