Vote for your choice in the bounties that will be listed first. the most selected 5-10 will be the first to make it on the list. Be sure the select the one you want to see most. Your selection will help decide the first set of bounties.

How about contacting the morphos-team to
remove items from the list that are/will be availbable
    through MorphOS 1.x ?

I think they should stay. Who knows when we will see them. This is only a poll to choose the first set. Its not set in stone.

Why not? If they can do it on linux and other systems then why not ours? I would rather see a native TCP/IP stack and the Giga Ethernet myself.

    1) I think 1 vote is to few for that many possibilities.
    2) I think we should not set up another mozilla bounty but link to Morph/Amizilla page

Why not remove stuff that is from fantasy land? Then you'll get quite sane list of bounties ;-)

Your right about the fantasy ones, but I listed all that came in to be fair. One vote isnt great I know, but its all it let you do in this area. I wanted multi vote. This is just for the first set, we can do more after we get a good start. Thats why its one vote, so I know the choices made were the ones people want the most.

This is for the top 5 and they will become the first 5 official bounties.

    1) yeah, we may need to move this initial vote to a site-wide vote. If Acill is agreeable, I'm sure poundsmack will oblidge.

    2) Yes, or at least set up any mozilla pot to be given to the amizilla/morphzilla folks. (either way). We should also check with the AROS people about their port to the pegasos (if that is acceptable by the MorphOS-Team).

We really DO NOT need the top bounties to be "Radeon 3d" and "Tcp/ip" theser are things KNOWN to be coming in 1.5 and is rather absurd to have bounties for this.. i thought the point was to get developers moving on other things...

PPC native TCP/IP stack could make sense. Perhaps it doesnt make sense to have extremely finetuned stack but just a basic one.

AFAIK there is TCP/IP stack for AROS so it could make sense to port that one to MorphOS. And maybe fix possible bugs, add new features and contribute enhancements back to AROS.

Fair warning, all bounty "finalists" will be presented to the MorphOS-Team prior to being opened. With that said, this forum is also for the voice of the people--they can discuss and vote on whatever they like.

I only want us to consider, if it will be in 1.5 anyway -- how much use will be gotten out of project-X before it's outdated? In the case of the TCP/IP stack, the sooner the better; I agree with itix so long as the development time doesn't take longer than the 1.5 release.

We can move it, I cant make a site wide poll though can I? If i can I will do it tomorrow mourning.

    @magnetic
Well it just goes to show you what people want and maybe the MOS team will stand to make some money off this. How many years have we asked for a native TCP/IP stack? It could also make some competition. I only put in the options people asked for. I am not making the people vote on them.

CDDA clone means a commandline tool to
extract audio ... the amiga cdda works only
    with scsi-drives on the pegasos.

I wanted to check a bounties for an installer and an AmigaGuide reader that would be added to the MOS installation CD but I didn't see those choices.

It would be nice to have a choice for DVB-S (Hauppauge Nexus!), DVB-T and DVB-C TV-Cards, as cdfr already mentioned in the other thread. With VDR and LinVDR there are already sources available for Linux.

    Thank you

I'd rather pay a few bucks to get native tcp/ip now instead of waiting endlessly for 1.5 =)

I wonder why people wish that development should be started for things which are either already there
or where teams are woking on it for some time now.

    example:
    Open Office - under development
    GTL->MUI - under development
    Firefox/Mozilla port - under development

TCP/IP stack - already developed and part of MOS 1.5
    ...

I'm very happy that this effort of the bounty-list
was started. Its sad that so many wishes show that
either the people have not well thought about this
    or don't care about it.

    Cheers
    Gunnar
