If is In-topic, I can suggest a Mplayer version whith a menu to manage DVD function?

I know a GUI to manage this feature for this player, but is in Arexx... and folks whitout possibility to get a full working arexx library can't use it. A version of Mplayer which can manage the DVD read feature should be nice. 8-)

MorphOS port of mplayer won't support DVD menus before mplayer supports them...

Mplayer support DVD (in fact, I'm use it for play DVDs), but you must set some option. For now, Mplayer can set only by Shell for read a DVD.

Exist a GUI, but is written in ARexx and I was unable to run it whitout Arexx Library of AmigaOS.

AFAIK the authors of MPlayer don't plan to implement the support of DVD menus ATM.

The current MPlayer implementation does not support stills, which is a requirement of many DVD menus. MPlayer G2 supports stills, but I do not know if they have added menu support to it yet as I left the project a couple of months ago.

    Actually that is not true.

You can quite easilly set the Icon Tooltypes to play a DVD. What Ive done is copy the icon only and changed its name to DVDPlayer then set up the relevant tooltypes.

The only problem with that is when u have the toioltype for track set to 1 but that isnt the film track, so you have to open the icon info and change that line.

But that's the way it is.

BTW - this up-and-comming issue of Total Amiga Magazine has my MPLayer tutorial in it.
