Someone suggested, prior to the email and nickname fields were added to the submission form, that we have a bounty for a MLD gui. I like this idea, and will put it to the vote sometime this weekend.

Also, we will be adding a link to the OpenAladdin4d.com website from the bounties page. I wish the openaladdin effort luck, and will do what little I can to support them. attached is the button we will use to link to them...

We also need to get the blender stuff in order to possibly open that bounty up.

The most wanted application (modern web browser) has raised $10000 with great help from Bill P, Netscape executive and many users. I do not think that OpenAladdin will ever be opened with this requirement

I agree, its a wast of time and it will never happen. If he couldnt
sell the sources on ebay the last few times why would it "sell" now
like this?

Nobody ever wrote up a true "bounty proposal" for the UAE bounty you suggested, magnetic.

About OpenAladdin and/or Blender -- it's not up to me, I don't run the pot for either, and have no intention to do so. I put up a website (openaladdin) because a friend asked me to do so, and that is my only job there: keep the website running--he pays all the bills and handles all the money. I would do the exact same thing for the Blender author should he want me to do so. I'm not a 3d artist (or any kind of artist for that matter), so I have zero preference

Some very basic bounty ideas :

- a stable FTP server : rcftpd V3 was under development for MOS and 68k but I don't know what befell of its author. V2 is very unstable. OrangeFTPd is unstable as well : we have no decent FTP server :)

- a stable FTP client : FTPMount crashes in some cases. AmiTradeCenter is known to be quite unstable.

Those are very basic pieces of software that are very important and which would probably not be that difficult to obtain :) (if just improving / finishing existing stuff :)

What about contacting the author of these software first and ask them if they are planning to update them ?
If not it is like Nike: "Just do it"
Targhan made forms to fill so people can open a new bounty. Make sure to put all the necessary features and goals, and to donate the entry fee (or find other people to help you donate). Then the bounty will be open to the first developper that will be up to the challenge.

Personally i would like something more integrated to the system (like in dopus or ftp mount for the client).

Since we're all into new bounty suggestions lately, what about a bounty for a dvd burning program?

I wouldn't mind it being a ported (linux) app, but it would need a basic MUI GUI to meet bounty demands.

I know there is BurnIt3, but waiting for that to be released is like waiting for the tcp/ip stack in 1.5 Besides, it would be good to have a (free) alternative (and it being actually released in a near future).

There is FryingPan. It can burn DVD. I think, MorphOS needs good
source level debugger for C and C++ :)

I guess the author of FryingPan could accept the bounty (if ever set up), but that would get him into some work since FryingPan is a piece of...not useable/stable enough for most people atm (imho).

Maybe You should report author what it is wrong. After my bugreport,
last public version works fine on my pegasos...
