    In one word...yes.
Perhaps you ought to ban me, as I have no intention in treating Vox any better than he treats others.

Has there ever been anyone else here I have seriously offended?

I make no apologies for this stance.

As far as I can tell, you have done more name-calling than he has done so far today.

You should reconsider. Well-adjusted adults separate themselves from others by being able to graciously ignore comments that they happen to find obnoxious and annoying.

I'd wholly apologize to Andre, except that I do not agree with him.
This pains me as I have a great deal of respect for Andre and virtually none lingers for VOX.

BUT, I can temper this with the realization that I do not have to allow others to affect my behavior.

As such, I'd readily admit to an emotional and somewhat childish series of responses.

I will attempt to control further outbursts, as I assure you I can be far more offensive should I feel justified in being so.

The more people post harsh comments, the more difficult it becomes to justify banning a certain invidual without banning a whole series of other people as well. I somehow doubt that this is what you would like to achieve.

Ideally, all the involved parties would just calm down and refrain from posting until they have something constructive to say.

    Very true.
I let that one get away from me.
And I am not in favor of banning VOX (or that eager to seek it myself).
If you look at my earliest responses, they are a call for increased consideration in posting.

As such, I failed to heed my own advice.

If Vox is anger for his reasons (you can read on the web, maybe you just did it) and he take this anger here any wrong answer will make this anger growing more and more. Therefore, MorphZone will become a battlefield and honestly this would be really sad. So don't walk on this road. Keep calm and flames will find nothing to burn anymore.

I went over this with Andre in private.
I'm not real happy with my reactivity.

And since I'm sitting in a room surrounded by Macs (and I don't even like Apple), I'm not going anywhere.

I've tried to and just sent him a private e-mail directly outside of this forum encouraging his continued involvement.
But his stance on A-eon is frustrating.

Attacking the provider of the most powerful new NG hardware available is unreasonable.
It sounds like AmigaKit has let him down.

    @Jim

He wanted a madly cool NG Amiga and it letted him down. I can understand his frustration. I felt the same when I bought a AmigaOne 500 (SAM460 + accessories) and it was next to useless. I bought it because I was _told_ it was a great beginners machine. Little did they tell me it was buggy as hell and hardly supported at that point. I bit the bullet and sold it for a loss. Tool me a good long time to cover my losses. It sucked, but I was to blame as well for not looking it up enough since we got this thing, the interwebs I think it's called, that can tell me all sorts of things I need to know before buying something I know too little about.

Point is, I don't want this forum to start resembling other forums where the drama is the point.

I'm trying to temper my pig headed opinions.
But having communicated with Trevor Dickinson, I find I like the guy.
Perhaps he IS a little too focused on hardware, but was Bill Buck any different?

Speaking of software, has Fab released the Odyssey source yet?

After everyone's push to get this to our "competitors", it would be nice to see the project expand.
Since Amithlon should be powerful enough to handle it, even a back port might make sense.

Well, THAT bounced around a bit.

Damn, he stays on my hero list.
It doesn't hurt that at one time he helped me figure out why a was having a problem accessing my e-mail (don't think you're going to get that kind of help from a Firefox developer).

A web browser specific to Amigoid OS'!
    Too damned cool.

Well, out of all OS4 camp I also love Trevor and he inspired me to get into 5 year loan to get the best, biggest, fanciest ... Monolith were software is most beta out of all OS4 versions and Linux is needed to really use the beast.

I was surprised to see he distances himself from software development like its NOT for his machine and that he finds it perfectly OK. I am sorry I have to sue him also because its software side of HIS machine.

I don't think you can sue him for that. It was never a secret that AmigaOS 4 was unfinished. It was supposed to ship with 4.2, but decided to ship it with a special version of 4.1 because they where too far behind schedule, and with some extra hardware to make up for the parts that wasn't supported. Maybe some people pre-ordered it before knowing these facts, but what I've read A-Eon did tell people they could cancel their orders because of this.

Actually, Andre and I were discussing this privately today, and the biggest problem I think we both see historically with our hardware vendors is their neglect of the software development community.

Without software a computer is little more than an expensive paperweight.

I experienced this first hand with earlier OS'and it has influenced my opinions on this issue.

David and I have tried to encourage the systematic support of the developer community.

But there is only so much two guys on limited incomes living on the wrong continent can do.

I'm glad to see the bounty system still working effectively.

It simply doesn`t comply to EU and UK regulations, no matter what do you say or write. You just cannot sell "product" with a "promise"

And yet they pour millions into X2000 to be in exact same situation ... madness

I have asked 1 million times there, if its just two twins and fake Canadian, can we fundraise money to pay more team members? Noooo ... those two will do OS 4.2, TW and Libre, high noses, and off course nothing gets done. In short.
